Laser Scanner

Underwater Vision now have the capability to mesure underwater using Lumeneye underwater laser scanner
The Lumeneye underwater laser scanner is a 4000m depth rated high definition 3D rendering system designed to be deployed to capture and create digital reproductions of a submerged object.
ROV or diver deployed, laser profilers collect a sequence of cross sections through the object using a proprietary position-encoded scanner. The collected data is then turned into a 3D model.
Typically used in the assessment of bridges, harbour walls, pipelines, umbilicals, risers, anodes or to plot the progress of corrosion or weld degradation, the laser scanner delivers data accurate to micron precision over an area up to 2m x 5m.
Data is recorded as a series of x,y,z coordinates in ASCII format for greatest flexibility; our clients typically continue their own investigation using our data imported into a 3rd party FEA package.
Combined with a 3D printer, the laser scanner has been used to create physical reproductions, providing engineers with the greatest amount of information and avoiding delays associated with recovering a damaged object to surface.
